The Edge Nail Art

The Edge nails are the latest trend in the world of sculpting and decoration. We say sculpting and decoration because, in fact, we would not know how to define in which of the two aspects of nails we would classify it.

On the one hand, its difference lies mainly in the innovative shape of the nail. But, on the other hand, it is a type of nail that only the most daring wear? for the time being.

1- Preparation of the natural nail (traditional method).

2- Preparation of the mold.

Fold the mold in its entirety and tightly pressed on the central vertical line.

Take the width measurement on the client and, once defined, take out the mold and make a new fold on the vertical line that coincides with its sides.

Once folded in three parts, we place the mold on the client’s finger and adhere the lower part of the mold so that we are left with a diamond-shaped curvature.

3- Sculpting

We will start by applying the Premium pink acrylic powder to lengthen the nail bed of the client in the form of a tip, since, being a very geometric nail, a rounded bed would not be aesthetically pleasing.

We are now ready to build the French one. We start with one side, from the central part to the edge. In this way we define the arrow-shaped tip, defining perfectly the smile.
Once we have built one side, we sculpt the other, symmetrically with respect to the central axis, which is raised (^).

4- Finishing in French

If the French is in color, we will cover the entire construction with standard acrylic powder glass, respecting the central edge.

If the French is in white, we build with the white Premium acrylic powder, giving it the thickness of a final construction and maintaining the central edge.

5- Filing

We will file with the gray padded file, taking into account that it is a special file, in order to maintain the geometry of the nail. The filing will be completely flat, straight and independent for each side. We will leave both surfaces straight and smooth, without rounded areas, keeping the shape ^.

OPTIONAL

We can finish with a decoration, making a flower in acrylic, a colored French, encapsulated elements such as the Mermaid Tail, etc.

6- Finished

Apply fixing gel and dry in the Wood’s lamp for 3 minutes.

We apply sensitive cuticle gel to the client’s cuticle.
