CUSTO BARCELONA
Custo Barcelona was created in the early 1980s by the Dalmau brothers, Custo and David, after a long journey that took them around the world. On their way they discovered not only new landscapes but also the most varied artistic, cultural and philosophical manifestations. One of the things that most caught their attention was the style of California, expressed in the look of the surfers who lived in the south of the state, as well as the psychedelia of the northern part. The innovative, colorful fashion they found there impressed them, especially a style of T-shirts that did not exist in Spain at the time. Using this as a starting point, the brand was launched under the name Custo Line. The Dalmau brothers began work learning as much as possible about printing techniques and their finishes, with a particular focus on the area of graphic design, in which they felt especially comfortable. Over time, research in the use of color and prints turned into innovation, boldness and sophistication.Today, Custo Barcelona can be said to exist as a style in itself that to some extent suggests a particular way of looking at life. A way of seeing life that is expressed in collections for women and men. CUSTO BARCELONA TODAY Custo Barcelona is currently a brand with a consolidated image that, since 1997, presents its collections every season at New York Fashion Week. Innovation and creativity are the basis of a style characterized by the use of graphics and color that has become an icon. Its success has been recognized not only by the buying public but also by fashion professionals, media and celebrities.
