It might seem like a phrase out of a self-help book to say that great opportunities are born from small failures, but that is how I define my professional development. A young man from Malaga who, due to different reasons, I came to qualify myself as a person who never liked to study, and who never understood that school was the only way of education. After several “frustrated” years, I decided to link my professional life to a cooking course where part of the creativity that remained hidden in my restless mind, began to flourish in a frank way. Years later and having realized that the cooking sector was not really my world, fashion appeared in my life, and suddenly, it became my vocation. This was the culminating moment, when I began to define my personality, which I had not even planned. So, I started my university stage in Cadiz studying fashion design. The career was based on a constant competition where superiority won over friendship. I looked around me and it did not seem enough, I wanted the criteria of someone outside the school, so I decided to set up my first collection “Tobalo” with which I managed to win Code41. This new collection continued to open doors for me in various regional competitions. When it was time to face the end of my studies I developed “Chapter 1 Unbalance”. In it are collected all the aspects that unbalance this wonderful and sometimes polluted industry, but also me, as a person. As a designer who defends the fact of being in continuous learning, I decided to do it by the hand of great professionals such as Javier Martin or listening to lectures by Virgil Abloh. With “Chapter 1: Unbalance” we have always wanted to make a leap in quality, so 080 was the platform that would continue to develop and promote our interests. And with which, thanks to it, I have managed to perfect and innovate in different aspects for my second collection. I just hope that “Chapter 2: Remembering” will be a highlight where the public wishes that the moment of my fashion show arrives because they enjoy what I do.
